MINA: On behalf of King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received Eid Al-Adha well-wishers at Mina Palace on Wednesday.

Among those Prince Mohammed received were the Grand Mufti, senior officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, ministers and members of the military, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The crown prince congratulated Saudi citizens, residents and pilgrims on the occasion of Eid, and praised the efforts of military and civic organizations for their work in assisting pilgrims during the Hajj season.

“The great sacrifices, acts of honor and heroism that you are making to preserve the security of your country and its sanctities is an approach followed by the people of this country since its founding,” Prince Mohammed was quoted as saying by SPA.

He continued: “Your blessed efforts, along with those of other state agencies, to serve the pilgrims, ensure their comfort, and maintain their security, are a source of pride for us. We will continue to exert efforts and harness our capabilities to facilitate the performance of Hajj at all times.”

Lieutenant-General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, director of public security and chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, delivered a speech on behalf of the military sectors participating in the Hajj.

“Allah has honored this country and singled it out to serve pilgrims and blessed it with the honor of serving pilgrims and guests of the Grand Mosque, your children who participate in the implementation of Hajj security plans feel proud and honored to perform this task,” he said.
